Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity

Members of URC founded the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity in 1990. The offices are housed in the church which is also the site of their board and other meetings.

Boy Scout Troop 83

Girls Scouts

Middle Earth

Middle Earth provides prevention, intervention and crisis services enabling youth to develop into responsible and productive members of the committee. Middle Earth was founded in 1972 by members of URC. For more information log onto the web site.

Interfaith Hospitality Network

IHN is a consortium of churches organized to meet the needs of temporarily homeless families.

The Jointure

The Jointure for Community Education provides lifelong learning programs for community members of all ages. United Reformed Church hosts several Jointure Adult English As a Second Language classes.

Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities USA provides strong leadership and support to enhance the work of the local agencies in their efforts to reduce poverty, support families, and empower communities.

Our members-a network of more than 1,700 Catholic Charities agencies and institutions nationwide-provide help and create hope for more than 7.8 million people of all faiths a year.

SHIP (Samaritan Homeless Interim Program)

SHIP, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program, began operations in 1984 in response to the unheeded cry of the many women, children and men who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services. SHIP is a faith based, interfaith and community funded, assisted and supported, grassroots organization. Our clients are the homeless, near-homeless, working poor families, and individuals in Somerset County Regions not able to obtain assistance from government or other private agencies, and are therefore denied a opportunity to receive the basic humane assistance they need and deserve. The SHIP-sponsored holiday meals(Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter) are held in United's Fellowship Hall.

United Way of Somerset County

Somerset County United Way is an independent non profit 501c3 organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of New Jersey, that acts as a catalyst for positive change, helping to create and build the resources necessary to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in Somerset County. Building on our expertise and experience in addressing community issues, Somerset County United Way is expanding its work to dig more deeply into pressing issues, identifying root causes, engaging new partners, and developing lasting solutions that will make life better here in Somerset County.

Somerset County Food Bank

The mission of The Food Bank Network is to distribute food and to provide other basic human needs to those less fortunate in our community in a manner which recognizes and advances self worth and human dignity. Our method of distributing this food is through three food pantries, located in Somerville, Bound Brook, and North Plainfield, and a warehouse in Bridgewater. Our goal is to help create the opportunity for each person to become self-sufficient.

• a group of people responding to the inclusive love of God, as revealed to us in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, by offering welcome and support to LGBT persons and allies, and by providing space for those similarly convicted to minister within the RCA.
• a network of RCA members and churches engaged in a cooperative effort to educate others about issues of sexuality, gender, and orientation in relation to Christian life.
